- Brie previously worked for Wrestling Inc. from 2019 – 2022 as a news and recap reporter, covering many promotions, including MLW, NJPW, AEW, TNA, and WWE NXT UK.
- Since 2018, she has been a multi-award-winning and nominated recipient of the Illinois College Press Association for articles on professional wrestling and pop culture analysis.
- She is the visionary, founder, and lead editor behind The Bonzo Gonzo, a weekly pro wrestling newsletter highlighting the ins and outs of the squared circle.
Experience
From the moment WCW aired, Brie's admiration for professional wrestling went from hobby to career after being a long-life observer of the embellished sport. From going to live events in her hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, to purchasing every pro wrestling magazine on the market, her consumption of the industry has led her to work for online and in-print publications like Wrestling Inc. and Inside The Ropes in the United Kingdom. While keeping up with all the events surrounding the squared circle, she also enjoys introducing non-fans and casuals to the product by relating it to other relevant pop culture phenomena at the time of her reports. When she is not writing, reading, or jotting down notes here, she enjoys spending her time hunting for words in word finder books, listening and going to metal concerts, and loving up on her two tuxedo cats, Jack Black and Princess Devitt (named, of course, after Prince Devitt, currently WWE's Finn Balor).
Education
Brie has a B.A. in journalism and music business from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in communication leadership. She is currently applying for her Ph. D in media and communication.
As the leading pro wrestling site in the world, Wrestling Inc. endeavors to provide comprehensive, up-to-the-minute, and on-the-ground coverage of all the major events and storylines in the wide world of professional wrestling.
Our team of editors and writers brings decades of industry experience to bear on our daily coverage, which includes breaking news, stats and results, color commentary, and in-depth research and original opinion pieces. Articles are reviewed regularly by our editors, advisors, and fact-checkers to ensure they're up to date, comprehensive, and helpful. See our full policy page for more on our editorial process.
