The Rock On If John Cena Inspired Movie Wardrobe, Transformation From Rocky Maivia To The Rock

WSVN-TV entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet had a chance to chat with The Rock and Kevin Hart in New York City last weekend during the press junket for Central Intelligence. While he was supposed to talk about the movie, he snuck in a few wrestling questions. You can check out the full interview in the video above, below are some highlights:

Was his character in Central Intelligence inspired to wear jean shorts because of John Cena?

The Rock: "No, I'm wearing jorts because that's how I roll."

Kevin Hart: "That is true. John Cena does wear them dumb ass jorts. Them dumb ass jean shorts. I remember now. They come to like his calf like with a weird hem in them. Cuff 'em up buddy!"

The Rock: "He embraces the jorts dude. He embraces that sh*t."

How he transitioned from Rocky Maivia in 1996 to the businessman that he is now:

The Rock: "Just over time and I think it's something that we connected on, just wanting to grow. You want to grow your business, you want to grow your enterprise and that's a key. And look, Kevin said something very smart earlier in the press conference which is surrounding yourself with some really smart people along the way who share in your vision but you always want to make it about the work. It's always about the hard work."
