WWE Raw Results 4/29 - 2024 WWE Draft Continues, Huge Six Man Tag Team Match & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE Raw" on April 29, 2024, coming to you live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri!

The 2024 WWE Draft began this past Friday on "WWE SmackDown" and will be continuing tonight. There will be six total rounds with four picks each, and while champions will be remaining on their current brands except for Women's Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors, "Raw" and "SmackDown" Superstars from the eligible pool and "WWE NXT" talent are all fair game. Friday saw a handful of Superstars change brands including the likes of Bron Breakker and Nia Jax while both Carmelo Hayes and Kiana James were called up from "NXT" to "SmackDown" and "Raw" respectively.

Jey Uso will be challenging Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Backlash this coming Saturday. However, before they do, they will be coming face-to-face in a Six Man Tag Team match tonight as Priest joins forces with his Judgment Day teammates Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to take on Jey, Andrade, and Ricochet.

Additionally, United States Champion Logan Paul will be appearing with something on his mind to share.

We are live! Michael Cole and Pat McAfee greet audiences at home as we see Logan Paul arrive at the T-Mobile Center greeted by Patrick Mahomes and Judgment Day.

Becky Lynch then makes her way down to the ring.

We Hear From Becky Lynch

Lynch says "The Man" has come around to Kansas City, then says it's where "The Man" was born. She recalls standing on the steps of the T-Mobile Center after Nia Jax broke her nose, and says she's standing in the ring nearly six years later still saying the same thing. She says with Night Two of the draft, a whole new division is waiting around the corner. She says her instinct is to hold her Women's World Championship tight and never let it go, but titles are meant to be defended. She says a new Number One Contender must be found.

Liv Morgan's music hits, and she makes her way down to the ring. She says if Lynch is looking for a new Number One Contender, she's there. She says the last thing she wanted was for Lynch to hand her a title opportunity, but she feels as though Lynch owes her one. She says Lynch is only the new titleholder because she did what Lynch couldn't. She says it's the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour, and the endgame was always going to be her. She promises not to stop until she has everything she wants. Lynch agrees that she wouldn't be holding the Women's World Championship if she didn't attack Ripley, but reminds her she'd be holding the title if it wasn't for her.

Nia Jax's music hits, and she makes her way down to the ring. She says she dominated both Lynch and Morgan in the Battle Royal last week, and while she should be the new titleholder, but they teamed up to make sure she wasn't. She says since it's her last night on "Raw" tonight before she leaves for "SmackDown", she's taking one thing with her.

Morgan lands a dropkick on Jax to send her crashing off the apron. She tells Jax that she accepts the Number One Contenders match challenge she was about to issue to her.

Stephanie McMahon Announces The WWE Draft Round One Picks

Back from the break, Stephanie McMahon welcomes fans to the second night of the 2024 WWE Draft. She announces that GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser (the new Imperium) are the number one pick of the WWE Draft and will remain on "Raw". She then reveals Jade Cargill will be remaining on "SmackDown" as the number two pick, Damage CTRL will be heading over to "Raw" as the number three pick, and Kevin Owens will be remaining on "SmackDown" as the number four pick.

Imperium then makes their way down to the ring. New Day follows.

GUNTHER (w/ Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Xavier Woods (w/ Kofi Kingston)

The bell rings and GUNTHER wastes no time going after Woods. Woods lands a forearm on GUNTHER, then sends him crashing out of the ring. He looks to land a dropkick through the middle rope, but GUNTHER levels him with a chop on the outside and sends him crashing into the ring apron.

Back from the break, GUNTHER delivers a bodyslam to New Day. Woods lands a series of chops on GUNTHER, but GUNTHER levels him with one of his own. Woods lands a few more, but GUNTHER delivers one to him in the corner and levels him with a clothesline. Woods lands more chops, then lands a superkick on GUNTHER's midsection.

GUNTHER and Woods teeter on the top rope, but Woods pushes GUNTHER off and lands a dropkick. GUNTHER levels Woods with another chop, but Woods connects with a shoulder to his midsection through the middle rope. Woods' knee gets caught between the bottom two ropes and GUNTHER fires off kicks on it. He then delivers a chop to it.

Back from another break, GUNTHER connects with a bodyslam on Woods. He sits Woods on the top rope and delivers a chop to his spine. He drapes Woods by his knees and delivers several more chops to him as Woods grasps on to his knee, then ascends to the top and delivers a Frog Splash. Woods gets his knees up, then looks to land a kick on GUNTHER's midsection. GUNTHER levels him with a chop and locks in a Half Boston Crab on Woods' injured knee. Kingston calls for a white towel as Woods begs him not to throw it inside the ring. Kingston throws it out into the crowd, and Woods comes close to making to the bottom rope. He tries fighting his way out, but GUNTHER counters into a STF. Woods taps out.

Back from the break, Logan Paul and IShowSpeed make their way down to the ring.

Logan Paul and IShowSpeed Announce The WWE Draft Round Two Picks

IShowSpeed announces that the number five pick is CM Punk and he will be remaining on "Raw". Paul then reveals that the number six pick is The Pride, and the stable will be staying on "SmackDown". IShowSpeed says that Braun Strowman has been drafted to "Raw" and is the number seven pick, and Paul says that Tiffany Stratton will remain on "SmackDown", and is the number eight pick.

Logan Paul and Jey Uso Meet In The Ring

Paul makes his way down to the ring, and says Jey Uso ran his mouth about him in a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley earlier tonight. He says Damian Priest will retain his World Heavyweight Championship overall, and says that Jey is incapable of becoming a champion overall.

Jey's music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring. Jey says he wants to hear what Kansas City has to say about Paul's comments, and asks them if he should beat down Paul. Paul asks Jey if he can out-Yeet him, and asks if he's really trying to roast him. He says Jey isn't good alone and says there's a reason he got kicked out of The Bloodline. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh march down to the ring as Paul points out that Jey is alone.

Jey beats down McDonagh and Balor, but Balor and McDonagh overpower him as Paul slides out of the ring and makes his way over Patrick Mahomes to grab his three Superbowl rings. He slides back in the ring, and McDonagh holds Jey in place. Paul then looks to clock Jey with the rings, but Jey moves out of the way and clocks McDonagh. Balor and Paul then look to double team on Jey, but Braun Strowman's music hits and he storms down to the ring. Paul slides out of the ring, and Strowman chokeslams Balor. Paul then retreats through the crowd, and Strowman confronts Mahomes and a couple of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates. Jey calms him down and the pair head to the back.

We then head backstage and see Chad Gable shake hands to make a deal with R-Truth official regarding the WWE Draft. Truth explains to The Miz that he made sure they wouldn't be drafted from "Raw" to the NFL, and Miz informs him that won't be an issue. The pair walk off, and Sami Zayn appears out of nowhere to superkick him.

Back from the break, we head backstage and see Booket T chat with Cathy Kelley about the WWE Draft. Drew McIntyre overhears him mention CM Punk, and a heated verbal exchange ensues between the pair.

Back from the break, Bronson Reed makes his way down to the ring. Sami Zayn follows.

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bronson Reed for the Intercontinental Championship

The bell rings and the two lock up. Zayn fires off chops on Reed, but Reed levels Zayn and lands a headbutt on him. He fires off right hands on him, but Zayn dumps him out of the ring. He lands a kick on him, then delivers an Asai Moonsault to him off the ropes. He gets him back inside the ring, then ascends to the top and looks to land a crossbody. Reed catches Zayn, then sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle. He then delivers a slam and a running senton.

Back from the break, Zayn looks to fly off the ropes but Reed catches him and lands a chokeslam. He delivers a Buckle Bomb to Zayn in the corner, then delivers a sit-out powerbomb to him in the middle of the ring. The pair end up on the outside, and reed delivers a flying shoulder tackle to Zayn off the apron. He dumps him back in the ring, then follows him. Zayn catches him with a Helluva Kick as soon as he gets in the ring and goes for a pin, but Chad Gable breaks the fall with a German suplex.

Winner (and still): Sami Zayn via disqualification

Gable continues to beat down Zayn and cinches in an Ankle Lock. Another referee comes down to the ring to get Gable off Zayn, but Reed delivers a Tsunami to Zayn when he rolls away from Gable. Gable then grabs the Intercontinental Championship and looks to hold it up, but Reed gets Gable up on his shoulders and lands a Death Valley Driver. Reed then grabs the Intercontinental Championship and holds it up.

The APA Announce The WWE Draft Round Three Picks

JBL announces that LWO (Rey Mysterio, Carlito, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Dragon Lee, and Zelina Vega) will be heading over to "Raw" as the number nine pick. Ron Simmons announces that the number ten pick is Legado Del Fantasma, and they will be remaining on "SmackDown". JBL reveals that Drew McIntyre will remain on "Raw" as the number eleven pick, and Simmons reveals that Shinsuke Nakamura will be heading over to "SmackDown" as the number twelve pick.

McIntyre's music hits, and he storms down to the ring. He expresses his frustrations with not being drafted until the third round and CM Punk. He says Punk fractured his elbow at WrestleMania 40 when he attacked him. Punk's music hits, but he doesn't show on the ramp. He appears in a suite, and McIntyre storms to the back and in Punk's direction.

We then head backstage to Alpha Academy, where Maxxine Dupri expresses her excitement for her upcoming match. Chad Gable dashes her hopes and asks her where her Women's World Championship is. He then voices his frustrations with Akira Tozawa and Otis and tells them to win the World Tag Team Championship.

Back from the break, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell make their way down to the ring. Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell follow.

Candice LeRae (w/ Indi Hartwell) vs. Maxxine Dupri (w/ Ivy Nile)

The bell rings and Dupri sends LeRae's head repeatedly crashing ginto the mat. She delivers a kick and a Fisherman's Suplex, then delivers a Bulldog and a reverse Caterpillar. LeRae looks to land an enzuigiri, but Dupri avoids it and cinches in an Ankle Lock. Hartwell clocks Nile on the outside, allowing for LeRae to take advantage and blindside her. She lands a kick on Dupri's jaw and follows it up with the Wicked Step-Mother.

We then head backstage and see LWO chat with Cathy Kelley. Dominik Mysterio approaches him and gets into a verbal exchange with Rey Mysterio.

Drew McIntyre Searches For CM Punk

Back from the break, we see Drew McIntyre storm around the arena looking for CM Punk in his suite. Someone points him in the right direction, but all McIntyre finds is an autograph from Punk. Punk's music hits, and he then appears on the ramp. Punk grabs a mic and says he wants to keep it brief. He says he would normally ask McIntyre if he has his attention, but already McIntyre gives all his attention. He says he prayed for McIntyre to get injured after McIntyre did the same when he tore his tricep, then says he was drafted before McIntyre because of simple economics. He says he's the best in the ring and on commentary, then says losers hope and pray for things to happen. He says winners make things happen, and when he's medically cleared, he will make McIntyre's life a living hell.

Teddy Long and Alundra Blayze Announce The WWE Draft Round Four Picks

Long announces that Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh will be remaining on "Raw" as the number thirteen pick. Blayze reveals that the number fourteen pick is Naomi and she will be remaining on "SmackDown". Long reveals that the number fifteen pick is Ilja Dragunov and he has been called up to "Raw". Blayze reveals that Chelsea Green and Piper Niven will be heading over to "SmackDown" as the number sixteen pick.

Liv Morgan then makes her way down to the ring. Nia Jax follows. 

Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax in a Number One Contenders Match for the Women's World Championship

The bell rings and Jax shoves Morgan. She tosses her across the ring and lands a splash in the corner, then tosses her across the ring once again. Morgan fires off a few kicks and an enzuigiri, then lands a dropkick and hits a second one on her spine. She continues wearing Jax down in the corner, butJax levels her and stomps on her. Jax sets up for the A-Nia-Lator, but Morgan trips her and looks to fly under the bottom rope. Jax catches her and sends her face bouncing into the announce desk as we see Tiffany Stratton watching the action from the crowd.

Back from the break, Jax wears down Morgan with a submission hold. Morgan escapes and sends Jax crashing into a ring post shoulder first, then lands a dropkick and repeatedly sends her head bouncing off it. She ascends to the top, but Jax trips her and delivers a Samoan Drop. Morgan then sends Jax into the middle turnbuckle face first, then delivers a double stomp to her spine. Morgan runs the ropes, but Jax counters into a spinebuster and drags Morgan into the corner. She sets u for the A-Nia-Lator, but Morgan escapes and sends Jax's head bouncing off the top rope. She then powerbombs her.

Naomi appears out of nowhere and blindsides Stratton in the crowd. She sends Stratton's head bouncing off the announce desk and delivers a kick to her off the apron. Jax clocks Naomi, allowing Morgan to take advantage. She delivers a codebreaker and Oblivion for the win.

The Dudley Boyz Announce The WWE Draft Round Five Picks

Bubba Ray Dudley reveals that New Day is the number seventeen pick and will remain on "Raw", and D-Von Dudley announces that the number eighteen pick is Pretty Deadly who will remain on "SmackDown". Bubba Ray announces that Lyra Valkyria has been called up to "Raw" as the number nineteen pick, and D-Von reveals that Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell will be heading to "SmackDown" as the number twenty pick.

Back from the break, the match has already begun. The Miz and Otis are tagged in, and Miz fires off The Miz Kicks on Otis. He lands a jawbreaker on Otis, then sends Akira Tozawa crashing into the mat and connects with another kick to Otis' head. Otis catches him with a World's Greatest Powerslam and The Caterpillar, then tags in Tozawa. R-Truth tags in, and Awesome Truth delivers The Truth Crushing Finale for the win.

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis Announce The WWE Draft Round Six Picks

Pearce announces that The Final Testament are the twenty first pick and will be heading over to "Raw", and Aldis says that #DIY are the twenty second pick and will be heading over to "SmackDown". Pearce says that the twenty third pick is Bronson Reed who will be remaining on "Raw", and Aldis announces that Blair Davenport has been called up to "SmackDown" as the twenty fourth pick.

Jey Uso then makes his way down to the ring. Ricochet, Andrade, and Judgment Day follow.

Ricochet, Andrade and Jey Uso vs. Judgment Day (w/ Dominik Mysterio)

Andrade and Balor begin the action. The bell rings and Balor fires off shoulders on Andrade's midsection. Balor tosses Andrade into the ropes, but he poses. He tosses Balor and an interfering McDonagh out of the ring, then tags in Ricochet. Ricochet and Andrade then deliver a double clothesline to Priest out of the ring and follow it up with a double tope suicida to Balor and McDonagh before Jey delivers a tope suicida of his own to Priest.

Back from the break, Priest delivers a Broken Arrow to Ricochet and goes for a pin. Ricochet kicks out and Priest fires off kicks on him. He lands a spinning right hand, then clocks Jey with a kick on the apron. Andrade tries to interfere, but the referee stops him. Balor and McDonagh take advantage and beat Ricochet down in the corner. McDonagh tags in and delivers a moonsault. Balor then tags back in and delivers a backbreaker before the now legal Priest delivers a leg drop as Balor holds Ricochet in place.

Balor and Jey become legal, and Jey fires off strikes on Balor. He connects with an open palm strike and an enzuigiri on Balor, then lands an open palm strike on Priest on the apron. He ascends to the top and delivers the Uso Splash to Balor, then goes for a pin. McDonagh breaks the fall, but Andrade takes him down. Priest then levels him and Ricochet (who tries taking him down) and tags in. He lands a clothesline on Jey, but Jey responds with a Samoan Drop and ascends to the top. Dominik hops up on the apron and distracts the referee. Priest looks to chokeslam Jey off the apron, but McDonagh pushes him. Priest yells at McDonagh, and Jey delivers superkicks to them both. He delivers a Spear to Balor and follows it up with an Uso Splash for the win.

After the match, Priest holds up his World Heavyweight Championship and stares down Jey as the show goes off the air.
