Legendary WWE Jobber Profiled By Rolling Stone, Upcoming "Total Divas" Previews, Melina Speaks

- RollingStone.com has published a profile article on Barry Horowitz, professional wrestling's preeminent "enhancement talent." In the piece, Horowitz looks back at his time in WWE and WCW, and offers his thoughts on being the subject of a song by rapper Action Bronson.

Horowitz, who was mostly relegated to putting over talent throughout his career, says he never went to management demanding a push.

"I'm happy to be there, living my dream," Horowitz said of his mindset at the time. "I'm gonna do what they want. If I can progress, fine. It's a very political business. They can make an example of you if they don't need you."

In 1995, Horowitz received the first push of his WWE career, beginning with him upsetting Skip (a/k/a Chris Candido) in a memorable television match on the USA Network. Horowitz again faced Skip in a rematch at SummerSlam, which he also won. These wins led to Horowitz becoming a popular underdog with fans. When he was initially told backstage of the plan for him to beat Skip (by then-champion Diesel), he figured "it was a rib." Pat Patterson, however, confirmed to him that he was indeed scheduled to win.

Horowitz parted ways with WWE in 1997 and wound up in WCW that same year. Horowitz is fond of his stint with WCW at the height of the Monday Night Wars, which lasted through the end of 1999.

"Everything was going good and they were starting to push me, and that's when the company ended," Horowitz said.

- Former WWE Divas and Women's Champion Melina, who has not granted many interviews since parting ways with WWE in 2011, spoke to Jim Ross on Tuesday for a Ross Report podcast that will be released next month on PodcastOne.com.

- The next two all-new episodes of Total Divas will center on Eva Marie. The synopsis for this Sunday's show is as follows: "Eva blindsides Jonathan with news that she should have delivered before they got married. Also: Rosa's job is threatened; and Nikki retaliates." It is titled "Baby Not on Board 312."

The synopsis for the all-new episode airing on Sunday, January 18 reads "Eva is faced with a life-threatening medical issue; Paige gets a bit too close to Nattie in the ring; and what starts out as a friendly competition between Nikki and John escalates into a serious fight." It is titled "Twin Leaks."
