Welcome to this week's coverage of NJPW on AXS! Tonight' we'll see a NEVER Openweight Championship match from April of 2015!

- We see clips of Big Daddy Yum Yum vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, in a match I can't believe they're actually showing. Either way, Tenzan retain the NWA Title with an Anaconda Vice.

NEVER Openweight Championship
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Togi Makabe

This one's going to be hard hitting, as is tradition. The two take turns beating the hell out of each other for several minutes until Ishii folds Makabe up with a German suplex and a corner clothesline. Ishii gets a superplex for two, but both men are dropped with clotheslines.

When they get back up, both guys just trade violent clothelines that send them right back into the ground. Makabe hits a King Kong powerbomb, but only gets a two count. Ishii strikes back, and Makabe answers, finally leveling Ishii, then hitting a German suplex that is good for two.

We get more back and forth brawling for several minutes until Ishii starts unloading forearms. Makabe answers with a couple of big clotheslines, but Ishii manages to kick out. Makabe scores with a King Kong Knee drop for the win after an extremely violent fight.
