Impact Slammiversary XVII Results: Brian Cage Vs. Michael Elgin, Tessa Blanchard Vs. Sami Callihan

TJP vs. Trey vs. Jake Crist vs. Willie Mack

Crist immediately gets double superkicked. Trey and TJP go to work on each other, Trey with an assisted hurricanrana on Mack, sending him to the outside. Trey heads to the top rope with TJP in tow, Trey flips off and hits an arm drag. Mack back in the ring, samoan drop, kip-up, standing moonsault, cover, two. Crist sends Mack out of the ring, crowd doesn't like Crist, "you suck" chant rings out. TJP tries for a tornado DDT, no, he's able to stretch out both Crist and Trey, Mack smashes TJP in the back of the head.

TJP recovers, dropkicks Mack, spring board dropkick to Mack's face. TJP gets sent out of the ring and Mack with a flip over the top rope to clear him out. Crist with a tornado DTT on Mack to the floor. Trey flies, lands on his feet, tries again and hits a crazy step-up twisting senton on all three opponents! Back in the ring, TJP locks in a surfboard on Trey, Crist slips under to pin TJP, Mack leaps off the top rope and double stomps Trey to break all that up. Trey goes after Crist, but after flipping away charges right into a powerslam into the corner, cover, two.

Crist with a flurry of kicks on TJP. TJP returns fire with kicks and punches of his that leads to a back suplex. Crist misses wildly with a kick, TJP brings him down and locks in the kneebar. Trey to the top rope with double knees to TJP's face. Trey back up again, but Crist with an enziguri to stop that. Crist heads up for an ugly looking super cutter onTrey, Mack then immediately splashes down on Crist, cover, 1-2-3.

- Don Callis and Josh Mathews run down the card for tonight's show. We then see footage of The North winning the Impact World Tag Team Titles a couple days ago.

- Backstage, Melissa Santos talks with Josh Alexander and Ethan Page, she mentions how it was surprising they won the titles. Page says they already told everyone they are the best and later tonight they will show everyone why.

The North (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander) (c) vs. LAX (with Konnan) vs. The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) (Impact World Tag Team Championship)

The North talking some trash with Konnan, LAX kicks them both in the back. LAX focuses on Dez and Wentz, but they both ending up hitting stereo suicide dives on Page and Alexander. Dez and Wentz back in the ring, LAX with a double team backbreaker on Dez. Crowd very much in support of LAX. Went with two pumps kicks on LAX. Santana with a kick to Wentz's face, then hits a cutter on Dez. Alexander with a blue thunder bomb on Went while Page clears out Ortiz. Alexander with an ankle lock on Went as Page knocks the others away. Dez finally jumps on Alexander's back, but Page superkicks him. Santana tries to springboard in and Page pump kicks him out.

Dez launches Wentz straight into Page in the corner with some velocity! They alternate strikes on Alexander, pin, two-count. Everyone going after everyone. Ortiz looked for a pin on Alexander, Page ends up launching Wentz from the top rop down on Ortiz to break that up! Dez goes up to get Page, but Alexander goes up and hits a moonsault powerslam on Dez. Page with a senton down on Dez, cover, two. Santana with a big leap off Ortiz's back smashing into Page. LAX flip Alexander face-first to the mat. Ortiz powerbombs Page, cover, two. Santana is apparently injured and out on the floor, Konnan telling commentary to bring out medical help. In the ring Wentz and Dez try to fight off The North. Page ends up powerbombing one of the Rascalz on Ortiz. The North get the pin and the win.

Winners: The North via Pinfall

- Post-match, Santana saying he wants to walk out, not be stretchered out. He's getting a lot of camera time, so this looks to be storyline. The Rascalz come over to check on him as he's helped to the back.

- Sami Callihan promo about his match against Tessa Blanchard, he says it's going to be a car crash. He then says the match will be the main event of the show.

Killer Kross vs. Eddie Edwards (First Blood Match)

Kross with a priest outfit and face paint for his entrance attire. Things get started before both men are in the ring as they battle out on the stage. Both make their way to the ring, but chairs are already being brought out. Edwards looks for a suicide dive and eats one of those chairs. Kross piles some chairs. Both on the apron and Kross with a gutwrench suplex down on the chairs.

Edwards is able to work his way back into the match. Looks for a chairshot, no, Edwards with a messy looking blue thunder bomb. Kross on top of Edwards, throwing big shots down on him. Kross whips Edwards hard into the corner. Edwards gets put up on the top turnbuckle. Kross looking for a back suplex to the ramp, Edwards frees himself, kick to the face crotches Kross on the top rope. Edwards with a Boston knee party off the top rope.

Edwards grabs a kendo stick, swings, misses, Kross trying to choke him out, Edwards rolls out of the ring to break the hold. Kross tries again, no, Edwards with a forearm, tiger driver on the floor. Back in the ring, Boston knee party to the back of the head, another to front. Edwards grabs the kendo stick again, taking forever to do something. Edwards snaps the kendo stick in half and jams it into Kross' mouth, he begins bleeding and this is over.

Winner: Eddie Edwards

- Backstage, Tessa Blanchard is asked about tonight's match. She angrily shoves the guy up against the wall and walks off.

- Backstage, Melissa asks RVD about Moose. RVD says ever since he's showed up Moose has been keeping an eye on him. RVD says Moose is old school by simply calling him out, but he's going to show Moose the consequences of his actions. Quite a bit of rambling in that promo.

Moose vs. Rob Van Dam

RVD rolls into the ring and Moose instantly attacks him and does RVD's taunt. Back and forth action spills out momentarily to the floor. RVD with a cannonball senton off the apron on Moose. RVD with some shoulder thrusts in the corner, big spinning kick to Moose's face. RVD does his taunt, heads to the corner, but Moose follows and hits a dropkick, followed up by another delayed dropkick in the corner. Moose chokes RVD over the bottom rope with his foot, does more of that in the corner.

Moose dumps RVD out to the floor, crowd booing Moose pretty good in this one. Moose attempted to choke RVD out, but he was able to get some moves back in. RVD heads to the top rope, Moose dropkicks him and then hits go to hell for a two-count. Moose went for a frog splash, but RVD moved out of the way and hits a DDT. With the referee out of position, Moose lowblows RVD. Moose then goes under the ring for a chair. Moose goes to swing, referee tries to take the chair, Moose shoves him. RVD hits the van daminator, cover, Moose gets a foot on the bottom rope. RVD drops Moose, looks for the frog splash, misses and ends up landing on that chair that Moose brought in previously. Moose hits a spear, cover, 1-2-3.

- Backstage, Melissa tries to talk with Taya Valkyrie, but she sends Melissa on her way. "Don't you have a wedding to plan? Did my invitation get lost in the mail?!" Valkyrie says as Melissa heads off. Taya talks about the upcoming Monster's Ball Match and doesn't understand why she's involved in a match like that, but nonetheless she'll walk out champion.

Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Rosemary vs. Su Yung vs. Jessicka Havok (Four-Way Monster's Ball Match for Impact Knockouts Championship)

The four pair off at opposite corners, Rosemary chokes Yung with her feet, Valkyrie with double knees on Yung in the corner. Yung and Havok trying to wok together. Chairs and garbage cans making their way in. Valkyrie tries to use a staple gun on Havok, no luck. Rosemary launches a garbage can at Havok, Yung clotheslines her out of the ring. Valkyrie kicks Yung in the midsection, staple gun to the back, over and over. Valkyrie pulls out an 8x10 of herself and staples it to Yung's forehead.

Havok hits a backbreaker on Valkyrie, puts her in the tree of woe, kicks to the back, grabs a chair and hits a reverse cutter on Valkyrie. Running boot to the face, and another on the champ. Rosemary heads to the top, hits a missile dropkick on Havok and smacks her a couple times with a tray. Yung pulls out a double dog collar and connects herself to Rosemary. The two battle on, Yung sends Rosemary head-first into a chair. Yung pulls out her glove and looks to lock it in. Valkyrie brings out a ladder and knocks both down. Havok looks for a chokeslam, but Valkyrie counters and sends Havok into the ladder on the mat.

Valkyrie pulls Havok on the ladder, climbs to the top rope, but Yung stops that, tree of woe again for Valkyrie, Rosemary gets involved and climbs up. Valkyrie ends up suplexing Rosemary as she suplexes Yung down on the ladder! Rosemary back up and spears Valkyrie, heads under the ring and grabs a bag full of tacks. Rosemary lifts Valkyrie up, no, Rosemary gets lifted, blocked. Valkyrie with a german suplex, not on the tacks though. Valkyrie ends up stomping Rosemary face-first into the tacks, pin, Havok breaks that up.

Yung and Havok start going after each other, Yung locks in the mandible claw. A table has been set up on the outside. Rosemary and Valkyrie are fighting near it on the apron. Valkyrie ends up sending herself and Rosemary through the table. Yung has the mandible claw on Havok again, yanks her up to the top rope, near the tacks. Havok ends up hitting a super tombstone on the tacks, pin attempt, but Valkyrie launches a chair in Havok's face and gets the pin on Yung. Great match!

Winner: Taya Valkyrie via Pinfall

- Backstage, Rich Swann says tonight is a big night, but before he can't say much more, Johnny Impact shows up to taunt the champion a bit before heading off. Swann says they got jokes, but they won't be laughing when the match is over.

Rich Swann (c) vs. Johnny Impact (with Johnny Bravo) (Impact X Division Championship)

Impact slows things down right off the bat by getting out of the ring. Impact avoids Swann and ends up taking another break on the floor. Both wrestlers trade arm drags. Swann with a hurricanrana and a dropkick. Bravo tosses some of the tacks on the mat to buy Impact some time. Impact ends up crotching Swann on the top rope and dragging him down the rope. On the floor, Impact sends the champ face-first on the barricade. Impact then mocks Swann's dancing a bit. In the ring, Impact drops Swann, goes for a pin, two. He then dumps Swann out on the floor.

Impact grabs the title and gets the referee's attention, Bravo stomps away on Swann and sends him back into the ring. Impact with a neckbreaker, cover, two. Swann is getting almost no offense for the past couple minutes. He finally lands a rolling DDT to slow Impact down. The two end up on the second rope, Impact looks for the spanish fly, no, Swann picks the ankle and sends Impact falling back on the turnbuckle. Swann with a crazy handspring flipping splash on a grounded Impact. Impact sends him out to the floor and flips over the top rope, taking out the challenger.

Swann to the top rope, elbow drop, cover, two. Impact recover and drives the knee through Swann's face, johnny's edge hit, cover, two. Impact uses his agility to avoid Swann, looks for a springboard spear and he eats an uppercut. Swann up to the second rope with Impact, back and forth punches, and they both crash down to the floor. Referee starts up his ten-count, Bravo helps Impact into the ring, Swann gets in at nine.

Impact hits a second rope spanish fly and goes right into a standing spanish fly, cover, two. Swann heads to the ropes, Bravo trips him up, Swann keeps moving, ducks Impact's lariat and flips down on Bravo. Impact looks to fly and crashes to the floor. Both back into the ring, Swann went for the handspring cutter, Impact follows and hits a springboard kick. Impact lands starship pain, pin, nope. Impact can't believe he kicked out. Swann with spinning kicks, multiple punches and kicks land, handspring cutter, and again! Swann up to the top rope, phoenix splash, 1-2-3.

Brian Cage (c) vs. Michael Elgin (Impact World Championship)

The two run straight into each other. Cage with some punches, but Elgin lands a bunch of kicks to the face. Cage takes Elgin off his feet with a shoulder block. Elgin up and the two throw bombs at each other. Cage sends Elgin into the corner, lands a some shoulder blocks then clotheslines. Cage with an enziguri, german suplex, and Elgin rolls to the floor. Cage looks to fly, flips over the top rope, takes out Elgin, and lands on his feet!

Both wrestlers in the ring, multiple reversals, Elgin with a dragon suplex, couple clotheslines in the corner, Cage put up on the top turnbuckle, enziguri, Elgin climbs to the top rope and hits a superplex, cover, two. Elgin sends Cage hard into the corner. Elgin yanks him out to the floor and jams him into the barricade. Elgin jaws with one of the fans, he then drops Cage back-first on the apron. Elgin heads to the top rope and looks for a twisting senton, nobody home. Cage looks for a pump kick, nope, Elgin with a backbreaker. Elgin tries for a superkick, no, Cage hits a superkick of his own.

Cage with a springboard tornado DDT, 619, turns Elgin inside-out and plants him down on the mat, pin, two. Elgin ends up on Cage's shoulders and gets sent down to the mat, cover, two. Crowd starts up The Terminator clap. Multiple counters, but Elgin ends up hitting basically a deadlift powerbomb on Cage. More counters, Elgin with a headbutt, clothesline, elbow pad is off, Elgin hits a big lariat. Elgin hits a powerbomb, cover, two.

Both are hitting big shots in the middle of the ring, Elgin with a superkick, jumping knee by Cage. Elgin with a couple more kicks that finally puts Cage down. Cage hits a buckle bomb, F-5, no, Elgin with a canadian destroyer, cover, two! Cage back up, lands a knee, powerbomb, F-5 hits, cover, 1-2-no! Cage tries for drill claw, but his back gives out, Elgin with the shots to the back of the head. Elgin with a discus punch, again, running buckle bomb, looks for the pin, but Cage stacks up Elgin for the 1-2-3. Elgin can't believe it.

Winner: Brian Cage via Pinfall

- Post-match, Elgin takes the title and smacks Cage in the face with it. Elgin goes over to commentary and yells at Callis while Mathews runs off. Callis goes to take the title, Elgin stops him and tosses him into the ring. Elgin looks to take out Callis and a masked man shows up and spears Elgin. The mystery man taunted a bit and then runs back out through the crowd.

Tessa Blanchard vs. Sami Callihan

Crowd very much behind Blanchard as the two slowly step towards each other and meet in the middle of the ring. Callihan gives her thumbs up/thumbs down. Blanchard immediately lands some punches and hits a hurricanrana on Callihan. Springboard dropkick send Callihan to the floor, suicide dive lands, goes for a second. Out on the floor, Callihan swings Blanchard into the barricade a couple times, then hits a death valley driver on the floor.

Callihan then powerbombs Blanchard on the apron, Callihan seems pretty proud of his work as the crowd boos heavily. Referee starts up his 10-count. He stands on the second rope as Blanchard makes her way in before 10. Blanchard is able to land a reverse cutter, but Callihan drops her with a big boot. Callihan sends her out to the ramp, tells fans to move out of the way. Callihan looks for a powerbomb, Blanchard fights out of it and hits a cutter on the ramp.

Referee starts up a 10-count and then two get back in, Callihan tries shoving her away before she gets back in the ring. Callihan asks for a punch, Blanchard lands some big shots. Callihan flips her off and says "Is that all you got, b—-?" She lands a bunch of shots until Callihan punches her in the midsection. Blanchard hits a samoan drop and heads to the top rope. Callihan forces her off the top rope, she lands a tornado DDT, cover, two.

Callihan locks in a reverse choke, Blanchard is able to reach the bottom rope though. Callihan heads to the top rope, brings Blanchard with her. He looks for a piledriver, she counters and kicks the leg out and hits a DDT, cover, two. Blanchard is swinging away on Callihan in the corner, the referee tries to stop her and she back elbows him. Callihan grabs his bat and hits Blanchard with it, pin, two. Callihan then takes out the second referee.

He tells Blanchard to quit and she spits in his face. He goes to hit her again with the bat and she lowblows him. Blanchard then drops a "mother f—–" and hits Callihan with a bat of her own. Blanchard then hits Magnum off the top rope, cover, 1-2-no, but she floats over into a crossface. Callihan almost taps, but he stands up, and hits a package piledriver, pin, two count. Callihan can't believe it, Blanchard selling being in tons of pain right now. They both stand up, Blanchard gives him the thumbs up/thumbs down taunt, he hits another piledriver, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Sami Callihan via Pinfall

- Post-match, Callihan takes both bats like he's gonna attack her again. He then hands off the gold bat to Blanchard and heads to the back. Crowd cheers on Blanchard as the show ends.
