Josh Mathews and Madison Rayne welcome fans to Impact Wrestling! We kick things off with a Knockouts tag team matchup!

Kylie Rae & Susie vs. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz

Kylie Rae and Tasha Steelz start the match. Kiera Hogan taunts Rae on the apron with Rae's bow that she took last week. Rae turns her focus back towards her opponent, Steelz. Steelz has Rae in a wristlock. Rae reverses. They exchange back and forth wristlocks. Rae rolls over and tags in Susie. Susie slaps Steelz right across her face after Steelz taunts her. Steelz is mad and decides to tag in Kiera Hogan. Hogan is pushed towards Susie's corner. Susie tags in Rae. Both of them land a running bulldog on Hogan. Rae makes a quick tag to Susie, Hogan does the same to Steelz. Steelz backs Susie up in her corner. The referee's back is turned, Hogan grabs Susie by her hair and pushes her down. Hogan slams Susie face-first on the top turnbuckle. Hogan grabs Steelz and drags her towards her corner to get another tag from Steelz. Steelz lands a running forearm strike, then tags Hogan back in. Steelz wraps up her time in the ring with a neckbreaker before Hogan takes over. Hogan throws in a few jabs then tags Steelz back in. Susie side steps and sends Steelz flat on her face. Susie crawls over and tags in Rae. Rae is fired up! Rae lands several elbow strikes on Hogan and Steelz, before landing the Kylie Special on Hogan. Rae goes for the cover, Hogan kicks out at 2. Susie is now in. Mayhem has broken out. Steelz connects a codebreaker on Susie. Next, Hogan connects a superkick on Rae. Steelz plants a hurricanrana on Susie. Hogan connects, pins Susie, and wins the match.

Josh Mathews and Madison Rayne run through tonight's card.

Backstage: Gabby Loren interviews Ace Austin. Austin says that he doesn't want to be stuck in the past, he wants to move towards the future. After making that statement, Moose comes in. Moose is trying to persuade Austin to focus his attention on the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and not the Impact World Championship.

Back from the break, Joesph P. Ryan and Crazzy Steve are about to square off!

Joseph P. Ryan (w/ The Crist Brothers) vs. Crazzy Steve

Joseph P. Ryan lays a big slap on Crazzy Steve. Crazzy Steve fires back with multiple clotheslines. Ryan counters with a jawbreaker, followed by a dropkick. Ryan with a scoop and slam. He follows it up by driving his knee towards Crazzy Steve's shoulder. Ryan puts Crazzy Steve in the suplex position, Crazzy Steve reverses it. Crazzy Steve bites Ryan's hand, then goes up and over, sending Ryan towards the bottom turnbuckle before landing a cannonball. Jake Crist distracts the referee, as Dave Crist tries to push Crazzy Steve off the top rope. Crazzy Steve knocks Dave off the apron. Ryan lands a superkick. Ryan covers, and wins the match.

Winner: Joseph P. Ryan

Post-Match: Joseph P. Ryan asks Jake Crist if they would like to join Cancel Culture. Jake connects a roundhouse kick on Dave and officially joins Cancel Culture.

The singles action continues!

Rohit Raju vs. Chase Stevens

Rohit Raju lands a kick towards Stevens' midsection as the match begins. Next, he lands a running boot on Stevens before hooking a cover. Stevens kicks out at 2. Stevens fires back with a short-arm clothesline, hooks the leg, and Raju kicks out. Raju is up and plants a side leg sweep before going for another cover. Stevens kicks out right away. Raju drives an elbow, covers, Stevens kicks out again. Raju is starting to get frustrated. He starts to choke Stevens then locks him up in the ropes. Raju fires away towards the midsection again, then connects a back elbow. Stevens rises to his feet and gets a few jabs in before landing a suplex. Stevens connects a scissor kick to the back of Raju's head, but can't keep Raju pinned down. Stevens goes for a moonsault. Raju pushes the referee in front of him before connecting a jumping knee. Raju takes Stevens down once more with a double knee strike and wins the match.

Winner: Rohit Raju

Post-Match: Rohit Raju is talking to the camera and doesn't notice that Rhino snuck into the ring. Rhino lands a Gore on Raju.

Backstage: Gabby Loren interviews Havok and Nevaeh. Loren asks Nevaeh why she's here at Impact. Nevaeh informs Loren that she and Havok have been a tag team for quite some time now. Therefore, she has arrived, and she's ready to take on the other Knockouts with Havok!

The best talk show on primetime is back, "Locker Room Talk!" This week's guest is Chris Bey. Madison Rayne wants to know why Bey decided to sign with Impact. Co-host Johnny Swinger answers for him. Rayne moves on and asks a follow-up question in regards to Willie Mack. She wants to know if Bey will dethrone Mack of his X-Division Reign. Swinger answers for him, again. Swinger knows that Bey is going to become the next X-Division Champion. He announces that he and Bey are going to form a tag team together next week.

Up next, the Impact Plus Moment of the Week. It's Drew Galloway (Drew McIntyre) vs. Bobby Lashley.

Backstage: Jimmy Jacobs welcomes back Jordynne Grace! As she's talking about the newest Knockouts joining Impact, "La Wera Loca," Taya Valkyrie, joins in on the interview! Valkyrie doesn't think Grace should've taken time off as champion. Grace challenges her to a match tonight for the Knockouts Championship. Valkyrie doesn't want to face her tonight. Grace says what about next week? Grace doesn't wait for an answer. She says she'll see her next week!

Up next, a No. 1 contenders tag team match!

Rascalz (Dez & Wentz) vs. TJP & Fallah Bahh

All four men elbow each other, to show their respect before their match starts. Dez and Fallah Bahh start things off. Dez tries to move Bahh from behind, but Bahh reveres with a wristlock. Dez is impressed! Bahh ducks the line but misses a leg drop. TJP and Wentz become the legal men. TJP takes control of Wentz with a lockup. Wentz rolls through. Wentz with a kip-up. TJP twists Wentz into the corner. Wentz sweeps the leg, goes for a cover, TJP escapes out of it. TJP runs into a boot from Wentz. Wentz tags in Dez. Dez flies up and over and makes a quick tag over to Wentz. Wentz bronco busters TJP in the corner. All four men are now in the ring. Bahh gets some offense in before heading back to the apron. TJP connects a suplex. Wentz tags Dez in. The Rascalz run rough shot with a double foot stomp rollup. Dez goes for a cover, TJP kicks out. Wentz slingshots in as the legal man.

Wentz hooks the leg, TJP pops out at 2. TJP accidentally pushes Wentz towards his corner. He gets a tag in to Dez. Bahh is now in. Bahh flings Dez into the corner then splashes him. Bahh sends Dez towards Wentz, knocking both men out. Bahh grabs Dez up for a Samoan Drop. Bahh goes for a quick cover, Dez kicks out. TJP is in. TJP has Dez on his shoulders, rolls through, then Bahh and TJP combine together with a double takedown. TJP plants a dragon leg whip. Dez grabs hold of his knee. TJP takes Wentz off the apron. Wentz climbs back up and makes his way into the ring. Wentz connects a jumping knee, then a knee in the corner. Wentz keeps his defense going with a standing moonsault. Wentz goes for a pin, TJP kicks out. Bahh connects a belly-to-belly suplex on Wentz, then Samoan Drops Dez. TJP flies off the top with a Mamba Splash. TJP catches Wentz. Dez flies in and gets locked up in a leg submission. Wentz pushes Dez back to make it a bridged pin on TJP. Dez picks up the win!

Post-Match: All four men show their showmanship by hugging and shaking each other's hands.

We see another vignette from Deonna Purrazzo. She will make her in-ring debut next week!

It looks like Rosemary and John E. Bravo are enjoying each other's company this week. Rosemary thinks that Bravo should come and work for "them." She says if he bites the apple she gave him, he's in. Bravo is hesitant at first but is close to taking a bite before Valkyrie calls him, and asks him to pick up some dog food. He leaves. Rosemary is astounded.

Backstage: Michael Elgin demands that the backstage coordinator plays his music. Elgin heads down to the ring.

Elgin is furious that he lost his match last week. He calls out Sami Callihan, who he thinks cost him his match last week. The "ICU" logo pops up on the screen, but Callihan doesn't show up. Elgin says that no one is going to stand in his way towards becoming the new Impact World Champion. Ken Shamrock's music hits. He runs down to the ring. After a few back-and-forth exchanges, Elgin escapes out of the ring and says to Shamrock that he'll fight him "on his time."

And now, the main event! Who will become the winner of the #1 Contenders Tournament?

Ace Austin vs. Trey

**Mathews announces that there's some commotion going on backstage. We see that Trey is knocked out cold. Ace Austin thinks that he should automatically be announced the winner. Wentz runs down to the ring saying that he knows it was him who attacked Trey. Scott D'Amore comes down and says that Wentz can fill in for his friend Trey. The match has now changed. **

Ace Austin vs. Wentz

Wentz keeps Austin down as the match begins. Wentz climbs on top of Austin and swings on him. Their brawl will continue after the break.

We're back from the break. Austin is up on the apron. Wentz catches Austin's leg and drags him off the apron. Austin lands a strong right hand on Wentz, before choking him with his shirt. Austin slams Wentz's back towards the apron. Wentz rolls in the ring than out to break the count and gets caught with a suplex off the ramp. Austin quick whips Wentz towards the steel guardrail. Austin does it again. Austin stomps Wentz's hand, then slams him back into the guardrail. Wentz side steps Austin and sends him into the guardrail. Wentz stomps Austin down. Austin eats a boot. Wentz gains some momentum by running towards Austin. Wentz flies off the stairs and gets kicked in the face mid-air. Their match will continue after the break!

Back from the final break, Austin has Wentz trapped in the corner. Austin goes for a chop but instead, he's met with a boot, courtesy of Wentz. Austin corners Wentz again with a foot chokehold. Austin goes for a snapmare, then smashes Wentz's face into the bottom rope. Austin goes for a cover, Wentz kicks out at 2. Austin goes for a suplex, then another cover. Wentz kicks out. Austin locks Wentz's arm up and takes out his card. He slices Wentz's fingers with the card. Wentz gets up and fights back by driving Austin into the canvas. Austin grabs Wentz by his hair and drives him down towards the mat. Wentz springboards off the ropes and lands a knee on Austin. Wentz sends Austin down again with a big kick. Wentz flies through with another knee. Wentz connects a standing moonsault. Wentz hooks the leg, Austin kicks out. Wentz connects another knee to Austin's jaw after sliding out of a suplex. Wentz and Austin exchange slaps. Wentz connects another boot, but can't keep Austin down. Wentz climbs to the top, Austin gets his knees up in time as Wentz flies off with a Swanton Bomb. Austin connects The Fold and goes for the cover. Austin wins the match.

Winner: Ace Austin

Ace Austin will face Tessa Blanchard for the Impact World Championship at a later date.

Before the show concludes, we see a man watching television from behind. He is watching a breaking news segment that discusses the recent WWE layoffs that took place in April. The image on the TV transitions towards an announcement that says that Slammiversary will take place on Saturday, July 18th, and it features several of the big named ex-WWE Superstars who were let go.
